1976: Agenda for Tomorrow [signed] [first edition]

Association copy, inscribed by Udall on the front free endpaper: "Best wishes from Stewart Udall at Mercersburg, PA, April 1988." Just above that inscription is the ownership signature of Maurice K. Goddard, who spent 24 years as Sercteray of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources (1955-1979), creating 24 new State Parks during his tenure, adding 130,000 acres to the system. He thus is justly known as the "Patriarch of Pennsylvania State Parks." A nice association in light of Udall's conservation emphasis as Secretary of the Interior and afterward. Very near fine book with just a little rubbing to edges of blue cloth boards; in a very good jacket with light rubbing and a little soiling, some minor wear to corners and spine. // Wood (+) River (=) Books specializes in ecology, natural history, nature writing, the environment, and environmental literature, with a special passion for association copies and notable inscriptions.
