Вадим Козовой (1937-1999)- известный поэт, прозаик, переводчик, литературовед. Перед читателем - книга русской и французской эссеистической прозы поэта, полноправного наследника двух культур, убежденного человека междумирья. Собранная уже после его смерти, она объединяет работы более чем тридцати лет, разные по предмету отклика, по обстоятельствам высказывания, жанровому складу, но единые по направленности мысли и интонации речи. Это философская саморефлексия поэта над делом и местом поэзии, самой ее возможностью в современном мире, очерки о героях и столпниках слова новейшей эпохи (Малларме и Валери, Реверди и Мишо, Марине Цветаевой и Бенедикте Лившице). Заметки о старших друзьях - П. Сувчинском, Н. Харджиеве и других - дополняются содержательными письмами первой половины 80-х гг. к жене. Каждое слово книги движимо кровной заинтересованностью прямого участника, испепеляющим неистовством спора и той`истребительной нежностью`, которую отмечал в стихах Козового Морис Бланшо.Составители: И.
