Description
У 1932 р. розпочався випуск бронеавтомобіля БА-І. Бронекорпус змонтовано на шассі автомобіля "Форд-Тімкен". У зварній башті оригінальної конструкції встановили гармату і окремо від неї кулемет. Запасні колеса встановлені на бортах вертикально на опорах, які обертаються. В носовій частині бронекорпуса розмістили карбюраторний 4-циліндровий двигун Форд-АА потужністю 40 к.с. Озброєння його складалось із 37-мм гармати ПС-1 і 2-х 7,62-мм кулеметів ДТ. Боєкомплект вміщував 34 снарядів та 3024 набоїв. Машина вагою 5 тонни мала максимальну швидкість 63 км/год. Екіпаж налічував три чоловіки: командир, стрілок і водій. Усього було випущено 90 машин. Вони приймали участь у бойових діях на території Іспанії, Монголії, Фінляндії.
