Description
Книга является второй частью воспоминаний профессора Николаевской академии Генерального штаба, военного министра Российской империи в 1905—1909 гг. А.Ф. Редигера. В ней рассказывается о завершении его служебной деятельности в качестве военного министра, об участии в работе Государственного совета, событиях Февральской и Октябрьской революций 1917 года, и заканчивается она описанием начала скитаний на фоне разгорающейся Гражданской войны.
Автор воспоминаний не только живописует события, свидетелем которых он был, но и дает им взвешенную оценку. Несомненный интерес представляют также характеристики Николая II, его ближайшего окружения, министров и других выдающихся современников.
