Настоящая книга содержит подробное житие величайшего русского подвижника и чудотворца преподобного Александра Свирского. Духовными подвигами и благочестивой жизнью достиг он того, что молитвою своею прогонял бесов и имел своими собеседниками ангелов. Однажды, преподобный удостоился видеть Самого Бога, явившегося ему в образе Святой Троицы, и беседовать с Ним о том, как построить церковь, создать монастырь и собрать братию. На месте этого чудесного видения на берегу Рощинского озера, недалеко от реки Свирь, построил преподобный Александр храм во имя Пресвятой Живо-начальной Троицы и основал знаменитый Свирский монастырь. До сего дня, несмотря на лютые годы разорения и осквернения, Александро-Свирская обитель потрясает своей великой духовной силой и красотой всякого православного христианина, посетившего эти святые места.
