Жимолость Барышня — сорт среднего срока созревания. Ягоды крупные овальные с острой верхушкой и заостренным основанием, покрыты бугристой кожицей. Мякоть ароматная, мягкого десертного вкуса. Барышня — самый ценный с вкусовой точки зрения сорт жимолости съедобной, который оценивается в 5 баллов по пятибалльной шкале.Растение выглядит декоративно, особенно в пору плодоношения: кустарник небольшой, плотный, с узкой красивой кроной, украшенный заметными ягодами голубого цвета. Самобесплодное растение требует посадки опылителей, которыми могут выступать сорта жимолости Нимфа, Амфора, Павловская. Сорт устойчив ко многим заболеваниям и отлично выносит сильные морозы.
