Описание
Девибхагавата-пурана – крупнейшая по объему (18 тыс. двустиший-шлок) шактистская пурана, представляющая собой настоящий кладезь знаний о Великой богине. Индологу Андрею Игнатьеву понадобилось 14 лет, чтобы перевести данную пурану на русский язык. Наряду с уникальными легендами, которые не встречаются ни в одном другом тексте, содержит шактистские интерпретации общеизвестных индуистских мифов. Вишну здесь оказывается полностью подчиненным Богине и свои нисхождения совершает по ее, а не по своей воле. Философской сердцевиной пураны является Деви-гита (Песнь Богини), где важнейшие истины шактистского мировоззрения раскрываются на языке адвайта-веданты. Кроме того, здесь можно подчерпнуть немало сведений по ритуалу, в частности, в двух заключительных книгах раскрывается эзотерическое значение мантры Гаятри.
