Альбом был задуман Дэвисом для одноименного документального фильма Билла Кейтона о жизни боксера Джека Джонсона. Это два трека продолжительностью более 25 минут, созданные на основе записей, сделанных 18 февраля и 7 апреля 1970 года в студии 30th Street Studio в Нью-Йорке.
