Description
Наиболее сложный период истории Украины — время постоянных войн, потрясений и безвластия — продлился с 1917 по 1922 год. Автор подробно рассматривает общественно-политическую обстановку на Украине этих лет, акцентируя внимание не только на действиях пробольшевистских сил, но и тщательно анализируя действия германских оккупационных войск, интервентов Антанты и петлюровских отрядов. Несмотря на использование большого количества пропагандистских штампов и освещение ситуации в благоприятном для большевиков свете, он не пытается укрывать факты или обходить спорные моменты исторического процесса, стремясь как можно более подробно описать происходившие в то время на Украине события. Легкий стиль изложения серьезного материала позволяет читателям не запутаться в сложных академических формулировках, а еще поражает удивительное, порой кажущееся невероятным совпадение некоторых лозунгов, мотивов и событий начала XX века с теми, современниками которых мы являемся.
