Video Auto-Iris A Video type auto-iris lens has an internal circuit that receives voltage and power from the camera to adjust the iris to changing light conditions. Video type lenses are recommended for use in inconsistent lighting conditions (e.g. outdoors). Various Focal Length Focal length is the basic characteristic of a lens and determines how much magnification it provides. The focal length defines the area of the scene that can be viewed with a given sensor size and is expressed in millimeters (mm). ViewZ lenses have many options when it comes to focal length selection to fit your application. CS Mount CCTV lenses are available in two different lens mounts. Many of today's cameras can accept either type of lens, but it is important to make sure that camera and lens are compatible and set up properly. CS-mount lenses have a flange back distance of 12.5mm vs. 17.526mm for C-mount lenses. Because of the shorter back focal distance, CS-mount lenses can only be used on CS-mount cameras. Your picture will be out of focus if you use a CS-mount lens on a C-mount camera.
