   Description
Although not an artist himself, Robert Brault is married to one and has become a practiced, over-the-shoulder observer in the artist's world. A much-quoted internet blogger, he offers here his original insights into the milieu of palette and brush, hoping that his wife's artwork will compensate for any shortcomings in the insights. Joan Brault is a long-time Connecticut artist, working in watercolors, oils and pastels. She is a member (and sometimes president) of the Avon Arts Association and a prize-winning exhibitor in venues throughout Connecticut. "Thoughts On Art & Artists" is a collaborative effort that sets out to amuse but along the way becomes an earnest characterization of the artist's endeavor and an encouragement, the authors hope, to those who seek its rewards. At times funny, at times serious, the thoughts are exhibited, one to a page, as paintings hanging in a gallery, each thought enclosed in a color frame. Interspersed is the original, color artwork of Joan Brault. The volume is booklet-size at 72 pages.
