Sony IXS-6700 Integrated Routing System with 8RU Chassis
The Sony IXS-6700 Integrated Routing System with 8RU Chassis can handle not only SD and HD video signals, but also audio, RS-422A and time code within a single chassis. This gives both space- and cost-saving benefits. The IXS-6700 Series routers are equipped with a common Ethernet interface, allowing a sophisticated yet easy-to-configure network-based control system to be established. The well-proven S-BUS interface is also provided to enable easy integration into existing routing systems. Another advantage is the unique ability to integrate with Sony's MVS-8000G and DVS-9000 switchers, bringing a number of great benefits such as bidirectional operational control, source name exchange and tally management. Packing these features into a compact chassis, IXS-6700 Routing System is a cost-effective and smart solution for installation into a broad range of facilities, including those limited by space. Multi-format Capability Hybrid Routing System can handle HD-SDI and SD-SDI, AES/EBU, analog audio, RS-422A and time code within a single chassis (a range of I/O modules are available to suit). Video routing supports up to 128 x 136 (IXS-6700) matrix. Multiple bit-rate video signals (HD/SD or SD only) ranging from 143 Mb/s to 1.485 Gb/s. Features re-clocking capability for multiple bit-rate signals including DVB-ASI. AES/EBU audio routing supports up to 256 x 272 (IXS-6700) matrix by the use of TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) techniques. Control System Can be used as a primary station with enhanced control functions, eliminating the need for a separate external control unit. Has Powerful operational features such as Tie-line, Virtual matrix, Input/output system protection and Phantoms. Inputs and outputs can be freely assigned on up to 16 levels. Both S-BUS system and Ethernet control systems are available. Source selection using a clickable selector knob. Easy setup via a web browser. High Reliability High level of redundancy is equipped with main and backup CPU board as standard and with redundant power supply units as standard (IXS-6700: four units two for main and two for backup). Self-diagnostic functions such as monitors communication quality, link status and backup CPU status, detects mismatch of settings between main CPU and backup CPU , detects cross point errors and Information on status/errors can be displayed on the router's front panel. Ease of Maintenance Troubleshooting and software upgrades can be performed without interrupting system operations. Keeps a variety of logs such as System Status log and Command log (S-BUS, Ethernet, RS-422A, Internal Control). Ethernet-based remote monitoring and maintenance can be obtained using the Sony MMStation Remote Monitoring and Maintenance Software an SNMP-compliant application.
