Description
Inside flap: Young Robin Hood whistled merrily as he set off through the forest on his way to Nottingham Town. An archery match was to be held there that very day, and Robin meant to win it. Suddenly , in the silence of the forest, Robin was set upon by a party of foresters in the pay of the evil Sheriff of Nottingham. He fled to safety, but not before he had sent back a deadly arrow that found its mark. So it was that Robin became an outlaw with a price on his head. He hid in Sherwood Forest , and there he was joined by many other stout fellow. In the shadows of the green woods, Robin and his band led a merry life. By day they robbed the rich and cruel and gave to the poor whatever they did not need for themselves. AT night , they feasted and tested their strength in friendly cudgel bouts.
