Problem-oriented Clinical Microbiology and Infection is a well established and widely used medical textbook. It is problem-based, in line with current medical teaching, and covers 70 clinical cases. This second edition has been updated to include new material on AIDS/HIV, emerging antibiotic-resistant bacteria and new viral pathogens such as SARS.
