Molivee Pencil Brushes for Procreate

Prisma is now the official stand-alone color swatch library I will be distributing with all my Procreate brush packs, while Molivee Sketch remains exclusive to this pack only. --- MOLIVEE Molivee stylized: Mlivee; pronounced: / Molivi: / is a custom pencils brush set for Procreate 5X and above. The brush pack includes a variety of tools grouped into several categories. Contents of the pack include: - 13x Pencils 6 white - 12x Hatchers - 6x Shaders - 3x Blenders - 3x Erasers - 1x Paper template - 1x Bonus brush set - 8x Color palettes --- PENCILS Molivee comes with a modest set of sketching pencils that offer you a tremendous amount of variety. Every brush is carefully set up to mimic the feel of the natural medium it was based on. This group can be further divided into smaller sets as listed below. Sketching pencils - Graphite Pencils: HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B - Charcoal Pencils: HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B Technical Pencils - Mechanical Pencil - Vintage Pencil Expressive Pencils - Carpenter Pencil - Cont Pencil - Clutch Pencil NOTE: Pencils that are labeled WHITE in their title indicate that those brushes are specifically set up to work with white color only . --- HATCHERS The brushes in this category were originally supposed to be a separate brushset for Procreate, but I changed my mind at the last minute and decided to leave a few of them here. Basically, Hatchers is a group of premade strokes that allow you to fill a large area quickly. The outcome gives illustrations a very interesting and completely unique grungy look that is next to impossible to replicate by hand. The hatchers' full potential is unlocked when they are used for masking, erasing and even blending. Each tool mode can be combined to give your illustration weathered textures you can easily create by yourself instead of downloading one. In order to achieve true randomness, I suggest you not only paint continuous strokes with the hatchers, but also try to apply a few dabs and short strokes. Rotate the canvas at random angles and add some more. You will find the following three sub-categories in this group: Clean , Grungy and Particles . The brushes themselves are not exacltly supposed to represent the density of the hatching per se. However, that is a good indicator of how to use them. --- ERASERS may also be used for shading with the Brush tool Molivee currently offers three types of erasers. They are pretty straightforward and their names already say everything you need to know about them. Personally, I use the Absolute Eraser most of the times because whenever I find myself wanting to delete something I messed up, it's usually a clean slate for me. However, I do tend to use the other brushes in the pack as erasers and for masking in an attempt to achieve the same goal. --- BLENDERS Even though I don't use blenders with pencils myself, I still included a few of them in the pack. The Subtle and the Soft blenders mix colors almost the same way. The major difference is in the strength used to blur colors together. The Subtle Blender ensures that you mix strokes smoothly and gradually by requiring of you to do more passes over an area. The Soft Blender does the same thing but it needs far fewer strokes to blend colors. --- SHADERS As of version 1.2 there are six soft and messy shaders reminiscent of the texture generated by a charcoal stick. These new shaders replace the old method of usinng blenders and erasers with the brush tool in Procreate to achieve the same effect. --- PAPER TEMPLATE Molivee comes with a seamless paper template already set up and ready to be used. Just import the template into Procreate. Once that's done, you should see a new document in your Procreate gallery. Go on ahead and open it. Start drawing. It's seriously that easy! --- BONUS BRUSHSET My trusty Jotter PRO brush pack is included as a stand-alone bonus set. These are a few basic inking and filler brushes that I use all the time in every artwork I do. They are extremely useful to me and I am hoping they will be to you too. --- COLOR PALETTES Mlivee's custom color palette is specifically designed with sketching in mind. The included swatches in Molivee Sketch are laid out into sections based on their purpose. At the very top row, you will find a non-photo blue supplemented by an equally light tint of magenta. Next to those, you are provided with three alternative colors for sketching and writing inspired by the Pilot G2 ink: blue, green and red. Moving down to the second row, you get a 10-90% range of neutral greys at increments of 10%. And finally, at the bottom row you can access true black and white colors. One final update to Molivee Sketch is yet to come soon, so stay tuned! But that's not all. Version 1.7 introduces a whole new collection of color palettes that are replacing the old ones.
