There is a thumbwheel for speed preselection and a two-speed gearbox. It has forward and reverse rotation capabilities. The s-automatic torque-limiting clutch provides mechanical decoupling of the drive if the drill stops unexpectedly. There is a spindle with a hexagonal recess for screwdriver bits when working without a chuck. The Metabo-built motor contains patented dust protection overload protection and wear indication for carbon brushes. Additional features include restart protection a non-slip soft-grip surface wear indication for carbon brushes and a cable-protecting ball joint for freedom of motion.
