Machine Knitting: The Technique of Lace

With the increasing popularity of lightweight knitwear, the technique of lace stitch has come into its own. This book shows readers how to exploit the lace setting on their knitting machines, and includes patterns and punch cards for designs. A brief history of lace techniques, technical information, 74 lace patterns and punch cards for collars, babywear, shawls and garments are included as well as a guide to using lace stitch in garments and as a form of decoration. Care instructions are given for seven garments, presented in the economic Japanese style.
