Burgundy cloth cover is clean and unfaded, with straight edges and sharp corners that show only light wear. Gold lettering spine is crisp and shiny. Dust jacket is clean and glossy, with moderate wear along edges, to corners, and to foot and crown of spine. This book was apparently used as a hard surface to place under a sheet of paper, and bears several indentations on front and back panels from handwritten notes. No actual pen or pencil marks. Pages are bright and glossy, free of any handwritten notes or underlined passages. Generously illustrated with color and black and white photographs of battle scenes, Civil War monuments, landmarks, and battle maps.
