This is the story of the Jeannette Expedition to the North Pole. In 1879, the ship named Jeannette, trapped in the ice for two winters, eventually was crushed and began to sink. Her crew escaped with 8 tons of supplies and 3 boats. This title deals with the aftermath of the sinking, and what happened afterwards in the trial that followed.
