After, quite a few iterations and pressure testing, I am very happy with the way this image effect turned out. All the adjustments for this effect come as non-destructive layers, so you can poke around and see how this effect was created. If you know your way around Photoshop, you can go into each adjustment layer effect, slightly tweak a few things and create something of your own.
