The Sony MDR7506 (USA) and CDR900ST (Asia) are the longest standing standards in studio monitoring headphones for more than 30 years. In the late 2000's, Audio Technica changed the game releasing the original ATH-M50 and subsequently the ATH-M50X. The M50's served not only the professional studio world, but also crossed over to the consumer mass market taking it by storm. One of the best bangs for the buck in headphones, the sound is excellent, but the pads leave some room for improvement. Dekoni tasked itself to improve both the sound and comfort of the M50's and the 7506. This was the first premium pad group ever released by Dekoni Audio (7506/M50x) and it was our first major success.Co-Founder Tal, was a live sound engineer on tour with national acts for more than 10 years. Looking online he could only find cheap replacements for his worn out pads, which were uncomfortable and made of cheap pleather. He tasked himself to create something even he could wear on tour, for long sessions at back of house or in the studio. From this idea, Dekoni Audio was born. These pads fit the Audio Technica ATHM50, ATHM40, ATHM30, ATHM20, ATHM70, ATH-MSR7 as well as the X versions of those headphones. They also fit the Sony MDRV-7506, CDR900ST and Sony V6 and many other similar headphones.After the wide success of Dekoni's Platinum Protein series, we wanted to expand into an even higher quality material to create an unparalleled ear pad in both sound quality and comfort. When you take the soft, supple sheepskin and wrap it in the densest slow rebounding memory foam, you increase isolation, comfort and sound stage.
