After the events of Darksiders, when War was prematurely summoned to bring about the apocalypse, he was tried and imprisoned for his crimes that he did not commit, but could never prove. The charred council, a group of members that maintain balance between the two realms of heaven and hell inform the remaining three horsemen of War’s fate. Hearing that his brother has been imprisoned for crimes that he knew War would never commit, Death goes into a rage and takes it upon himself to prove his brother’s innocence. During his journey for his brother’s redemption, Death discovers that the earthly apocalypse is the least of his worries. THQ has brought out a winner in Darksiders, and now it would seem they seek to repeat that feat with the sequel, Darksiders II, developed by Vigil Games. This game is released for the PS3, however, PC and Xbox versions are also expected. The game is primarily a single player story driven campaign saga. The player takes on the role of Death, the faithful and loyal brother to War, one of the legendary 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. The game features special melee weapons and unique moves that add to the whole Darksiders adventure. The sequel features a revamped storyline with improvements in graphics and performance.
